Informação
The Romanian Liga I consists of 16 participating teams and is divided into two phases: Phase 1: The league follows a home-and-away double round-robin format. The points system for each match awards 3 points for a win, 0 points for a loss, and 1 point for a draw. Phase 2: After Phase 1, the teams ranked 1-6 compete in the Championship Playoff, while the teams ranked 7-16 participate in the Relegation Playoff. The points in the playoff are calculated as half of the points from Phase 1 plus the points earned in the playoff. The Championship Playoff consists of a double round-robin format, whereas the Relegation Playoff is a single round-robin format, determining the final league standings. In case of a tie on points, the rankings are determined in the following order: a) Head-to-head record, b) Goal difference, c) Total goals scored, d) Playoff performance. European Competition & Relegation Spots: The team that finishes 1st in the Championship Playoff qualifies for the next season's UEFA Champions League. The team that finishes 2nd in the Championship Playoff qualifies for the next season's UEFA Europa Conference League. The team that finishes 3rd in the Championship Playoff will face the top two teams from the Relegation Playoff in a two-round UEFA Europa Conference League qualification playoff. The first round will be a single-leg match between the 1st and 2nd teams from the Relegation Playoff. The second round will be a single-leg match between the 3rd team from the Championship Playoff and the winner of the first round, with the winner qualifying for the next season's UEFA Europa Conference League. The Romanian Cup winner qualifies for the next season's UEFA Europa Conference League playoff. If they have already secured a European spot through the league, the next highest-ranked team in the league will take the playoff spot. The bottom two teams from the Relegation Playoff will be directly relegated. The teams finishing 7th and 8th in the Relegation Playoff will face the 3rd and 4th teams from Liga II in a two-legged playoff, with the winners qualifying for the next season's Liga I.
