The Welsh Premier League operates on a home-and-away double round-robin format. The top 6 teams form the Championship Group, the teams ranked 7th to 10th compete in the Champions League Qualifying Group, and the bottom 6 teams play in the Survival Group. The team that finishes first in the Championship Group will be crowned champion and earn a spot in the Champions League playoff. Teams ranked 2nd through 6th will qualify for the end-of-season UEFA Europa League playoff. The team finishing seventh in the Champions League Qualifying Group will secure the last UEFA Europa League playoff berth. The two teams at the bottom of the Survival Group will be relegated directly, while the team in 14th place will face the winners of the Welsh Football Southern League and the Welsh Football Northern League in a promotion/relegation playoff to compete for a spot in next season’s Welsh Premier League.
