The Czech Republic Gambrinus Liga is Czech professional league for football clubs. The league adopts a home and guest round-robin competition, where each team competes against each team twice, and the host and guest once each. Each team played a total of 30 matches, with 15 home and away matches each. If the teams have the same points, the number of goals difference and goals determines the team’s ranking. The teams ranked 15th and 16th are relegated to the second division of the Czech Football League. The champion and runner-up of the Czech Republic were promoted to the first division on the contrary.
