In 2020-2021 season, 229 teams will compete for Slovak Cup. Only the teams from top five highest football competitions or the two winners of the Regional Cups are qualified for the Tournament. There are six rounds in the Tournaments. All the games except semi-finals and finals will be a single-elimination tournament in which teams play each other in one-off matches, with penalty shootouts used to decide the winner if a match is still tied after 90 minutes. In semi-finals, the teams will play in a double elimination format as home team and guest team. It will depend on the number of scoring goals in away game if the result is draw. There are neither home team nor guest team in finals because it will play on neutral field. If the score is tied at the end of extra time the matches will go straight to kicks from the penalty.
