The Romania Cup is divided into 10 rounds. The first to fifth rounds will be played by the low-level League teams. The first division teams will participate in the top 32. The first to fifth rounds, the top 32 with the top sixteen, quarter-final will adopt knockout system. If in 90 minutes draw appears, then overtime should played, if draw still appears after overtime, penalty kick would decide the winner. The semi-final adopts a two-round home and away elimination system. If the total number of goals scored in the two rounds is the same, the away goal is counted. If the winner is still not determined, the winner must be determined in overtime. If the overtime is draw, the winner will decide by penalty kick.
