The 2026 CONCACAF League Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Qualification and Points System:     In the first phase of the 2026 League Cup, the tournament will be divided into two regional groups: the Major League Soccer (MLS) and the Liga MX.     Each team will play three matches against three different opponents from the other league. MLS and LIGA MX teams will compete on their respective league’s exclusive point tables to earn points, and the top four teams in each group will advance based on their overall standings.          Points System:     Matches will not end in a draw.     1. A win in regular time earns 3 points, while a loss earns 0 points.     2. A draw in regular time results in each team earning 1 point.     3. In the event of a draw, penalty shootouts will be used; the winner of a penalty shootout earns 2 points, while the loser earns 1 point.
