The Polish Superliga consists of 18 teams and uses a double round-robin scoring system (each team plays against every other team twice, once at home and once away). In each match, the winner receives 3 points, the loser receives 0 points, and a draw earns both teams 1 point each; at the end of the season, teams are ranked based on their accumulated points.
If two or more teams have the same number of points, their rankings will be determined in the following order:
a) Points earned from head-to-head matches;
b) Goal difference in head-to-head matches;
c) Goal difference overall;
d) Total goals scored;
e) Number of wins;
f) Number of away wins;
g) Points deducted for yellow and red cards;
h) Fair play points;
i) Draw of lots;
European Competition Qualification & Relegation:
1. The top 2 teams in the league qualify for next season’s Champions League qualifying rounds.
2. The 3rd-place team in the league qualifies for next season’s Europa League qualifying rounds.
3. The 4th-place team in the league qualifies for next season’s Conference League qualifying rounds.
4. The bottom 3 teams in the league are directly relegated.
5. The Polish Cup champion qualifies for next season’s Europa League qualifying rounds; if the Polish Cup champion has already secured a European spot through the league, that spot is passed on to the 5th-place team in the league.
