The teams in the Sweden Cupen are from the domestic leagues at all divisions. The last 32 teams will be determined through two rounds of single-legged knockout games, and the teams of Allsvenskan will join from the second round. The 32 teams will be divided into 8 groups. The group stage adopts a single round-robin system: the top one in each group will advance to the quarter-finals, semi-final, final. If drawn, extra time will be played with a penalty shoot-out followed if needed. Sweden Cupen champion will participate in the second qualifying round of the Europa League next season. If the champion enters top 3, the fourth place will play the first qualifying round of the Europa League next season.
