Informação
The Ukrainian First League uses a double round-robin format, where each team plays every other team twice (once at home and once away). For match scoring, the winning team earns 3 points, the losing team earns 0 points, and both teams earn 1 point in the event of a draw. At the end of the season, teams are ranked by total points.
If two or more teams finish with the same number of points, the tie is broken using the following criteria in order:
Points earned in head-to-head matches
Goal difference in head-to-head matches
Goals scored in head-to-head matches
Overall goal difference
Overall goals scored
Regarding promotion and relegation:
The top two teams are directly promoted to the Ukrainian Premier League, while the 3rd- and 4th-placed teams enter the promotion play-offs.
The 15th- and 16th-placed teams are directly relegated to the Ukrainian Second League, while the 13th- and 14th-placed teams enter the relegation play-offs.
Additionally, Mynai withdrew from the league for financial reasons and were replaced by Metalurh Zaporizhzhia. Vorskla also withdrew from the relegation play-offs due to financial difficulties.
